Howdy my western hearts! I know it has been a very long time since I have written a post but I have had so much going on these past few months. This is not an excuse, just life. Hopefully my life is settling in and morphing into something new.
Since I last wrote several very exciting things have happened.
First of all, Tin Can Allie aka TAC has finally been deemed worthy by the DMV, she is no longer under Junk Status… I am free to drive her around from town to town, we finally have license plates! Yippee
The next really big thing in my life is, (drum roll please) I quit my job, yep, my job that I went to for the last 13 years. I had been very unhappy for a long time and I finally had the catalyst that made me quit, an unreasonable and downright mean manager. Working under these conditions was taking a toll not only on my health, but a toll on my family, life is too short and I threw in the towel and had a new theme song,Take This Job and Shove It, I had planned to quit after the New Year but when things got a little crazy, I gave notice. The best thing I ever did! It is funny when you step away from a bad situation; you can really see and feel how bad things were.

Two days prior to my resignation, I had bought tickets to England. I was a little worried about going ahead with my trip as I did not have a new job lined up, but life is short and I wasn’t sure this opportunity would come again. So I went and had a trip of a life time!
In the next few weeks I will share my travels to England, I am glad to be back in the saddle so to speak, writing about travel, trails and treasures. My life is much calmer and I look forward to expanding My Western Heart in new directions.
Last weekend we did our first boutique and had a lot of fun meeting new people and talking with already established followers. 
The blog and website will continue to be about all things western focusing on primarily 3 things: Travel, Trails and Treasures, plus a few other surprises. Change is good but not always easy, one of my favorite sayings is, “the only constant is change”. I am so glad I made changes, things are working out, I have a new job that I love, I am a lot less stressed and I am so happy. My family and friends see it, a former coworker said, “you are like a new person, you sound so happy”.
I hope you will continue to join me as we expand My Western Heart and see how things unfold, until next time, happy, healthy trails!

I am so glad I closed that chapter in my life, I wake up happy, love my new job, it is much more rewarding and I am…appreciated. The thing about fear is it stops us from taking the steps to get out of bad situations. Think of how many people live their lives this way. Sad and scary, and as you’ve shared, it is so freeing to actually trust the universe and yourself and move forward into the great unknown. We are always supported and often the most unbelievable things show up when we are say “yes”. It sounds like you are having a blast and having people notice the change in you is also an affirmation that you have entered new and unlimited territory for yourself. I’m staying tuned for more. 🙂
Thank you Beverley! Yes it was a big leap of faith but I really had no other choice, things were just plain miserable. Fear is a terrible thing and I agree it does stop us from doing the things we love. The best part is my family can see a change, a wonderful affirmation.
