Rockin’ Review ~The Gingerbread Cowboy by Janet Squires

Rockin’ Review

Gingerbread CowboyHowdy Partners! You’re back for another adventure!  Saddle up and let’s go! A few weeks ago, My Little One and I participated in a silent auction and walked away with a gift basket full of goodies, including a cleaver book called The Gingerbread Cowboy by Janet Squires and illustrated by Holly Barry. Along with our signed copy of our book came a box of King Arthur Gingerbread cookie mix and an adorable cowboy cookie cutter, needless to say we were thrilled. When we got home we instantly read The Gingerbread Cowboy, a charming redo of the original Gingerbread Man classic but with a western twist. Cleaver and cute, with lots of good cowboy dialect to spark the interest of any cowgirl or cowboy.  Definitely a book for the little cowpokes in your life, the wording is wily and the illustrations are bright and lively. This book sets on my Favorite Reads list on Pinterest. An exciting addition to our book included  Janet Squires signing our book and she wrote on the inside cover, “Lasso a Good Book & Read” , could not agree more. Reading is so important for our little cowgirls & cowboys!
