I could not let the day get away with out wishing “William Penn Adair “Will” Rogers a happy birthday. Will was an American cowboy, vaudeville performer, humorist, social commentator and motion picture actor. He was one of the world’s best- known celebrities in the 1920’s and 1930s” according to Wikipedia and many others
Will Rogers was a lifelong horseman who worked cattle, did trick riding and played polo.
He seldom missed a day without riding. My kind of man! If you have never visited his beautiful ranch, a State Park located in Pacific Palisades, California I encourage you to do so. It is a day well spent. Activities include a tour of the spacious ranch house,
hiking and equestrian activities include riding and watching polo matches. We love to take our horses there and spend the day watching the polo matches or just riding the beautiful trails. Cool ocean breezes make this a special treat especially when our summers out here turn crazy RED hot. Next summer be sure to saddle up and come along on our adventures way out west when we tour the ranch house and go for a ride, and of course, enjoy that cool ocean breeze.
