How to Make Homemade BBQ Beans
This is not my recipe for the Best BBQ Beans, it actually was given to me by my dear sweet neighbor. Now this recipe is sort of wild and free, there is not a lot of actual measurements, so be prepared to have some fun and eat some good beans.
The Ingredients List for Homemade BBQ Beans
You will need the following ingredients, add as much as you like, just be free and have some fun.
Additional Ingredients
Preparing the Homemade BBQ Beans
Cook bacon, in a frying pan, I love using my cast iron pan, I think it makes my bacon so crispy and yummy, drain grease, add to ground turkey.
Add the rest of the ingredients, mix well and simmer for 1-2 hours or cook in crock pot overnight.
That’s it, so easy and fun. These beans will be a hit this 4th of July or any summe time picnic and if you need a recipe for easy homemade potato salad, check this recipe from an earlier post.
Cooking should be fun, especially for the holidays, it is about making memories that will last a life time. Do you have a favorite holiday recipe that stirs up great memories, I bet you can taste it now. Share your favorite recipe memory, we would love to hear it.
Until Next Time Happy Trails
This looks delicious, Lisa! Haha, I had to laugh at the suggestion to use wine – is that for the recipe or for the cook to drink while cooking? 🙂
Hi Delia, the wine is for the cook 🙂 or any other beverage of choice, thanks for commenting.
Lisa, what a fun recipe! Thanks for the great idea, especially adding whatever drink makes you happy :-). Merlot sounds good!
